Luce Montalcino Italia
What a wine !
I received a gift of a bottle of Luce 2003 Toscana Red Wine from a friend and well-wisher. He knew my taste for wines, and what an appropriate gift of a wine that turned out to be !
This is a great Italian Red Wine (50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot). Visit the website of the winemaker at “Luce Wines” . Sangiovese is the dominant grape variety from the Tuscany Region of Italy - there’s a whole lot of literature on Sangiovese. It is pronounced as “San-joe-Vay-say”, also commonly called as Chianti grapes. Merlot, ofcourse, is well-known around the world. When you combine these two grape varietals, you get a great wine which has less acidity than the Sangiovese on its own - the combination becomes well rounded and smooth on the palate. It went well with the pasta I was having one evening.
Strongly recommended, though hard to find it on Indian supermarkets.
