A Difficult Peace

I was impacted by an article I read in NY Times today about Kashmir.

It is difficult to believe that Kashmir has returned to peace. I did not read anywhere else in the Indian media that Pandits are returning to Kashmir. It takes a foreign reporter and a global newspaper to inform us in India that Pandits and Peace are in fact returning to Kashmir !

Please read the article at –
“Deep Roots in Kashmir Tug Hindus Back Home”

Is it not difficult to believe ? Yes it is. But the fact is that there is no option but to live together on this planet. Communal, religious and racial divisions haven’t got us anywhere. These divisions still persist. Politicians and Extremists make use of these same divisions to divide and antagonise respective peoples. Should we continue allowing them to do what they have so successfully done all these years ?

We should not.

However, again, I believe this is a fragile peace. Unless the traditional enemies can sit together and map out an “economic” agenda and sign up for no first use of nuclear weapons, and subject themselves to intrusive international inspections.

Well, let us see where the peace process leads us to…….

Cheers,

  1. I genuinely enjoy looking through on this web site, it has wonderful blog posts. “Don’t put too fine a point to your wit for fear it should get blunted.” by Miguel de Cervantes.

  2. Iā€™m impressed, I need to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a blog thatā€™s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you might have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the problem is something that not sufficient individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am very blissful that I stumbled across this in my seek for something relating to this.
